The BCS Aminya Centre in Baulkham Hills is a brand new aged care facility built to accommodate 70 low-care and 53 high-care aged residents.

Designed by Calder Flower Architects the layout is based around four landscaped courtyards, giving the centre a more ‘homely’ sprawling feel with prodigious natural light & airflow. To help reduce the reliance upon air-conditioning in the residential wings of the centre, sunshades incorporating Terrace | series aero louvres were fabricated into drop-in panels then finished in Pearl White powdercoat. The communal & administrative areas, which feature large areas of floor-to-ceiling glazing, utilise long lengths of Portland | series aero louvres (also in Pearl White powdercoat) mounted vertically on a steel exoskeleton to provide both sun control and privacy to residents & staff alike. With a winning combination of natural colours & finishes, striking textures and beautiful landscape, the BCS Aminya Centre is a wonderful resource for the care of the frailest & most vulnerable members of our community.
